How to use Stone Bath Mat

Diatomaceous Earth is a naturally occurring mineral comprised of fossilized algae. This ultra-absorbent mineral naturally absorbs up to its weight in water and dries within minutes, making it a great sustainable alternative to standard fabric bath mats.

Before using your Stone Bath Mat, rinse away any residual Diatomaceous Earth material and let your bath stone dry out completely. Once fully dry, place the Non-Slip pad next to your desired bath or shower. Then place your Stone Bath Mat on top and enjoy your first steps to a drier, cleaner, and more sustainable bath experience.

Stone Bath Mats are made from high-quality Diatomaceous Earth and designed to last with effortless care. If you experience staining, gently rinse with clean water and let your bath stone dry out completely. For heavier stains, buff out using the sanding tool included or any high-grit sandpaper (we recommend 180 grit). Once sanded, rinse off your bath stone and let it fully dry before continuing use.

Warping can sometimes occur when the stone bath mat dries unevenly across its surface. To remedy this, thoroughly rinse your bath stone, so the entire surface becomes wet. Then prop your stone bath mat against a wall or tub so that it is resting up on its side. This will help your bath stone dry evenly across each surface and allow it to return to its original flat state.

If you notice that your bath stone has become less absorbent over time, don’t worry. Gently sand the top surface of your stone bath mat using the sanding tool provided or any high-grit finishing sandpaper. This sanding will expose a new layer of the natural Diatomaceous Earth material and restore your Stone Bath Mat to its original absorbency.

Our product survives drop tests from a height of 5ft without any damage, breaking, or cracking at all. You should still exercise caution however when handling your Stone Bath Mat to protect it from hard shocks that could damage your bath stone

A sheet of sandpaper is provided! Simply sand your Stone Bath Mat lightly without applying too much pressure, and wipe away any residue with a damp cloth
